"For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is already laid, which is Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One."
Corinthians 3:11
All are invited to join the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer's education program. The Christian Education Program's goal is to help kids and adults build relationships with one another and grow in their understanding of God in their lives. It provides weekly opportunities to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and to promote spiritual development.
We are blessed with dedicated staff who provide instruction for children ages three through adult. Over forty children are involved in Bible lessons, prayer, projects, and songs. This year we are using the Firelight series for grades 1-6. The seventh and eighth graders receive confirmation instruction during the education hour, and our high school youth are engaged in an ongoing discussion about how to live a Christian life during these times.
The adult bible study is being taught by The Rev. Michael Fruth, Ph. D. The current area of focus is on "The Power of Forgiveness". All participants are invited to collect and share with the group relevant articles, books, and videos that they come across.
Our Christian Education program is scheduled in between our worship services, which gives youth and teachers the opportunity to participate in worship. Classes are held September through May between 9:45 and 10:45.
The church holds Lenten Study with worship on the Wednesdays of Lent, the Alpha Program on an annual basis, New Members classes, Vacation Bible School, and other topical studies as need and interest arise.
Nursery care is available during the education hour.
We also maintain a small library of Christian books and videos available for check out on a weekly basis.
